Some great suggestions, but I was surprised that there was no mention of teaching the congregation to sing. In my fellowship, there is a long history of congregational singing workshops where church members learn how to read music, how to breathe when singing, as well as the history and meaning of songs’ lyrics.

Wow – I have never thought of actually teaching the congregation how to sing. We kind of assume they can – and then wonder when they struggle. We have run singing workshops and sight reading workshops for singers and other interested people, but not for the congregation. That’s a good point. Will think on it. Thanks
